Meet the parents

The Princess

Ivy is a gorgeous gal and regularly receives compliments on her lovely looks and sweet personality.  She is 40 lbs and stands 22" tall at the shoulders.  Due to Ivy’s haircut, un-cropped tail and exceptional coloring most people think she is a Goldendoodle.  But she is a beautiful small standard AKC poodle.  She is loved by all who know her and due to her laid back nature, we jokingly refer to her as our Stoodle (half stuffed animal, half poodle - thus her facebook page - Ivy Stoodle Shepard!) Ivy is a most attentive companion dog at home but ready for a hike up in the mountains anytime.

ivy has been tested for the following poodle illnesses:

OFA Hips - Good

MTC (Macrothrombocytopenia) – clear

vWD - Type 1 von Willebrand’s Deisease – clear

PRA / prcd – normal/clear

DM (Degenerative Myelopathy) - clear

NEwS (Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures) - clear

the Pups

Pups have dew claws removed and have natural tails. We expect these pups to be about 25-35lbs when full grown and to be considerably more mellow than your average Goldendoodle. They should make excellent service or therapy dogs.  (Please note that weights may vary greatly - these are only estimates!)

Testimonials

As a Standard Poodle lover and owner for the past 18 years, Ivy is one of the sweetest and most endearing dogs I have ever met. Her amazing temperament and perfect size (not too big - not too small) should suit her puppies for any household. Just like the apple, the puppy doesn’t fall far from the tree!

We couldn’t be happier with “Little Man” (now “Telly”). I wish I could list all of the compliments we have received regarding his temperament, intelligence, and beauty, but that would take volumes! It is a testament to both the pedigree and the way the puppies are raised from day one. I have never meet a puppy that received more socialization by week 9, and it shows in Telly’s interactions with strangers, children, and other dogs.

Aside from how fantastic Telly has been for our family, the experience working with Heidi and her family was also easy and enjoyable. No question from us on raising the puppy was considered unimportant and their availability as a resource continues well beyond the pick-up day. They clearly love their puppies.

The Prince

For the upcoming litter, the Prince is Guiness from Zippity Doodles.  Guinness is an F1b English Goldendoodle who is medium sized but with a "heart" that is giant. He is a gentle soul who comes along wherever you are and softly snuggles right up. You won't find a sweeter dog. At Romps he is the one who enjoys playing with the dogs, but also makes sure to hang out with all the humans too. Guinness has adorable white "chrome" markings on his head, chest, feet, and tip of his tail, is 20" tall at the shoulder and weighs 45 lbs. He carries Red, Apricot, Cream, Brown and Parti (spotting).
